Great Sales Demonstrations are the Key to Success with Sal del Mar Products

FREE 1-Minute Spa Treatments are the Keys to Success

Current cart operators report fantastic sales, "Just get customers to try it and they have to have it." The key to this success is doing the demonstration because it not only sells the customer trying the sample, it also brings more people to the cart to see what's going on. Here is how to do the demo to make the most sales.

 
 

Step 1: Ask people passing by your cart if they would like a free 1-minute spa treatment. Offer treatments to men, women and teenagers. When they agree, drip a little warm water on their hands. Make sure they don't have any open wounds on their hands (if they do, let them try a couple drops of the Energizing Total Body Oil instead - have them rub it all over their hands).

Hint: You will have to go get people to give them a free treatment. "Our free 1-minute spa tratment will amaze you. You won't believe what it does for your hands. At a spa you would pay at least $20 for this treatment." Product demonstration is the key to more sales.

Hint: Carry a sample body of Body Oil to use when you can't get the passerby to try the Salt Scrub. If they say they can't take the time for a demo of the Salt Scrub, encourage them to allow you to put a few drops of the Energizing Total Body Oil on their hands. "Just rub in the oil to see how great it makes your hands feel. The Salt Scrub will make them feel even better."

Hint: When they agree to having you give them a sample treatment, introduce yourself and ask for their name. "Hi, I'm Sandy, what's your name?" From then on, call them by name. This establishes a more personal interaction.

Hint: Make copies of the Instruction/Ingredient Page to hand out. If they don't want a free treatment, offer to give them a copy. Make the copies on colored paper to make them more interesting.

Step 2: Use the spoon to stir the Sal del Mar Dead Sea Salt scrub thoroughly, then place about a half spoonful of Salt Scrub in the customer's hands and tell them to rub it all over their hands for one minute. While they are rubbing, tell them about how the Dead Sea Salt is exfoliating (removing) the dead skin from their hands while the 9 essential oils are penetrating down into the living skin to making their skin softer, firmer, more moisturized, and healthier.

Hint: You have a captive audience, so make the most of it. First tell them about the 9 essential oils and the Dead Sea Salt. If they seem interested, go over what each oil does for their skin. Tell them they will want to do the Salt Scrub twice a week and use the Energizing Total Body Oil in between scrubs to pamper their skin. Tell them how well these products work on hands, feet, elbows, knees - everywhere except not on the face.

 
 

Step 3: Have them hold their hands over the bowl as you use the ladle to drip warm water over their hands to wash away the salt residue while they rub their hands together. Tell them you are not using too much water because it can wash away some of the 9 essential oils.

Hint: Tell them, "you are going to be amazed at how great your hands are going to feel." Don't use too much water and have them hold their hands right over the bowl.

 

Step 4: Have them pat dry their hands using a paper towel. Ask them, "Have your hands ever felt better?" They will be amazed at the results. Now is the time to close the sale. Sample close: "We have a special today, if you puchase both the Salt Scrub and the Body Oil, you will save $5."

Hint: While they are being amazed by the results, remind them, "you should do the scrubs twice a week and use the Body Oil at least daily to keep your skin feeling so great. This treatment also works great on feet, elbows, knees, even your legs. Sal del Mar makes great gifts." Now is the time to close the sale, (sample) "Shall I ring you up for both products so that you can save $5?"

Hint: If they don't immediately agree to buy, ask them "do you have concerns about our product or its price?" Their answer helps you in overcoming their objections. If they are concerned about the product, go back over the 9 essential oils and the Dead Sea Salt and how they work together to rejuvenate and revitalize their skin. "You can feel how fantastic your hands feel. You can keep them feeling like this every day." If their concern is price, explain what a great deal we offer. "You can get at least 25 treatments from just one jar of Dead Sea Salt Scrub. If you were to get 25 treatments at a spa, you would pay $500 or more." The Body Oil goes even farther. One bottle should give you 50 - 100 treatments. Your skin deserves to be pampered by our treatments. Sal del Mar is a bargain to pay for soft, revitalized, more supple, and healthier skin.

Hint: You are not only giving one person a treatment, you are also entertaining all the other people walking past. Give everyone a show, speak loudly, and tell the others that they can be given a treatment right away. Some carts report lines forming to receive a treatment because of the show - you are in show business!

Sal del Mar products are better than any other comparable products in the market place, even those selling for two or three times as much. Origins sells a Dead Sea Salt Scrub for $30, but they don't have all the essential oils that are in Sal del Mar. The list of 9 essential oils is great - put the list on each side of your cart in a clear plastic picture frame. Sal del Mar contains no fillers - every ingredient is active and helps skin to be softer, more supple, and healthier. These are great products at fantastic prices!

Hygiene Instructions: It is imperative to always practice good hygiene at the cart. Never contaminate the water used to rinse the customers hands. Use only the clean water bucket to bring warm water to the crockpot. Use the ladle for taking warm water out of the crockpot -- never put a finger into the water. Test the water temperature by using the ladle to pour a little water over your finger. This water must not be contaminated. Dump water from bowls often and clean them each time. Do not leave water in these bowls overnight. Keep cart/kiosk demonstration area clean. Rinse and dry the ladle each day at closing.

Warm water in crockpot: Replace water in crockpot each morning with warm water and set temperature on "warm". Be very careful not to overheat the water in the crockpot -- never put the crockpot on "high" and never set it to "low" for more than 30 minutes. If the water you add to crockpot is not warm, put on "low" for no more than 1/2 hour then leave on "warm."
